We’ve added a few more ways to help your posts stand out: customizable post URLs and the ability to upload any image as a social preview. To edit your post’s URL, click on “Settings” from the post’s editor. Along with custom domains, this means you can now make your post URLs look exactly as you’d like.
Fantastic changes. I had toyed with the idea of building a website so I could have more customization capability but now I absolutely won’t have to. Yay! Thanks.
Like these changes - just got the new domain working - newsletter.butwhatfor.com - and now you are making additional positive additions. The customization on social networks formatting and pictures is huge.
Very much appreciate you continuing to focus on what your writers need. Keep it up and we appreciate you.
I chose an image in the social editor, but when I go to share the article URL on Facebook, there is no image in the preview; there is only the title and a blank white box.
Can you provide the dimensions of the social preview banner? That would be very helpful in making a new graphic to fit perfectly in the social preview.
I and several others have commented that the process in your article doesn't work. Yet you haven't responded to a single one of these. How about a little customer service?
Is there any way to send out a truncated email to all subscribers with a jump link back to the Substack page or app? I'd prefer for people to read my stories on the website because the emails diminish the impact of the photography. The apps aren't great with that either, but at least it registers the visits in my stats.
The social preview image does not come up on Twitter. How do I fix this? There seems to be a bug.
So happy about this!

New bug. Thumbnail has dropped off the Twitter post despite asset being in place before.
very nice, will there be a redirect if you change it later? Or does that mess up the seo too much?

I can't figure out how to change the social preview image. I have followed direction they don't work.
There must be something I am doing wrong because the customized images does not display when sharing it on social media 😥
This feature stopped working. Any news on when it might be fixed again?

The social preview image doesn't show up when I post on FB or Twitter. Your instructions aren't clear. How about a better step-by-step procedure?
